At 71, former Monty Python star, John Cleese, is showing no signs of slowing down. Frankly, he can’t afford to. His upcoming, appropriately titled, Alimony Tour kicks off in 2011 throughout the UK. Admitting that he would rather be reading books, writing or drinking, Cleese, with three exes as of this writing, might find it difficult to make any money at that.

You’d think Cleese would have learned his lesson given that this isn’t the first time he has had to take to the road following a split. He previously took his A Ludicrous Evening with John Cleese … or How to Finance Your Divorce tour on the road to Scandinavia to pay off a previous ex.

Thankfully, when we were at his ranch in Santa Barbara during our Fawlty Towers Revisited 2005 production for PBS, Cleese was happily married to Alyce Faye.

One of the highlights of the production was meeting Nicky Henson. You might not know the name, but if you are a fan of Fawlty Towers, you’ll remember Nicky as the leather pant wearing ladies man, Mr. Johnson, that drove Basil (and Sybil) crazy in “The Psychiatrist” episode. Nicky, an accomplished stage and theatre actor, joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1977 and was seen, most recently, in George Clooney’s Syriana.
