The Royal Wedding in Legos or Wool – you decide

In London, but find yourself without an invitation to the Royal Wedding this coming 29 April? Can’t get to the UK and really don’t want to get up in the middle of night to watch the big event? Not to worry on either count. Drop by Legoland Windsor as it celebrates its 15th anniversary with their very own Royal Wedding in Legos. The miniature Buckingham Palace and grounds are complete with the likes of Sir Elton John, a very pregnant Victoria Beckham, Prince Harry, the Prince of Wales with the Duchess of Cornwall and, of course, William & Kate. The newlyweds will then join the Queen on the Buckingham Palace balcony to wave to the cheering crowds complete with paparazzi trying to catch one quick glimpse of the newest member of the Royal Family.

Legos not your cup of tea? What about wool?

With just under four weeks to go, time’s running out should you want your own recreation of the Royal Wedding and you don’t have 160,000 Legos. If you’re so inclined, think about getting a copy of “Knit Your Own Royal Wedding”, available through Telegraph books at books.telegraph.co.uk. As with the Legos recreation, everyone is there, including the Queen, Prince Charles, Camilla, Prince Harry, Prince Philip, the Archbishop of Canterbury and, again, of course, William & Kate. I’m afraid the wool tribute does one-up Legoland by including a royal corgi in the mix.
