And the Emmy goes to….

With the 53rd annual Primetime Emmy Awards having just been announced in Los Angeles, it’s nice to see so many programs that both you and I have talked about over the past year get the recognition they really deserve. Just a reminder, series 2 of Downton Abbey is set for a January 2012 premiere on PBS and, tentatively, series 2 of both Upstairs Downstairs and Sherlock have a target premiere of Spring 2012 on PBS.  In case you haven’t seen the list as of yet….

Never mind the “…it’s just an honor to be nominated”, let’s hope the voters give some well-deserved recognition to some really great television from PBS, BBC and ITV this year.

  • I was really disappointed to see Sherlock get so little.

And congrats to Idris Elba (Luther) for getting 2 nominations – best actor in a drama and best guest actor (The Big C).

    • @Darcy: Totally agree on the Sherlock front and really happy for Idris Elba. Well, well-deserved.

  • Fingers crossed for lots of wins!

  • Cora

Lots of winning potential – fingers crossed!
