It’s that time of year again. No, it’s not time for the return of Downton Abbey, Sherlock or Doctor Who. Not just yet, anyway. It’s American Emmy Awards time. The time to recognize excellence in American television for 2015. As usual, there are a healthy number of Brits that share their time and talents with American audiences who have been nominated alongside their American counterparts.

In recent years, series such as Downton Abbey and Sherlock have been a given when you scan through the nominations. A quick glance at those up for Emmy consideration this year seem to be a bit lacking for those in the Sherlock-Nation. No snub here. You have to remember, since there were no episodes this past year that aired no episodes could be considered for entry. As The Great One (Wayne Gretsky) always said, “You can’t score if you don’t shoot the puck!” Knowing that there is a new Sherlock special just around the corner and a new series scheduled to begin filming in April 2016, I think we’ll be seeing a lot of Sherlock nominations in the coming years.

That said, here are your 67th Primetime Emmy nominations for 2015 garnered by your favorite Brits both in front of and behind the camera. For a complete list of Emmy nominations, click here. Take note that while she’s not officially British, it’s close enough in my book to salute Canadian-born Tatiana Maslany, who is up for the Emmy for Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her eight brilliant roles in Orphan Black. Yes, I said 8! Long overdue and well deserved. How she was squeezed out the last couple of years is beyond mind-boggling.
