‘Midsomer Murders Mayhem’ podcast delves deep into life (and death) in a small English village!
At long last, THE podcast you been waiting for that digs deep and goes behind-the-scenes into the long-running British mystery series, Midsomer Murders!, is here. With new episodes dropping each Thursday, this week we dig deep into “A Talent for Life”, episode 1 from series 6 (2003).
I love this episode as you have iconic former Bond girl, Honor Blackman, playing Isobell Hewitt, a well-to-do socialite who is later found murdered following an altercation with another member of the Midsomer Fly Fisher Club!
The Midsomer Murders Mayhem podcast will take a deep dive into the history of the hit television show while discussing the eternal question of how such a quaint county in England can be host to so many murders and such a staggering death toll.
Hosted by Nicki Chapman (Escape to the Country, The RHS Chelsea Flower Show) with insights from the cast, each episode of the podcast focuses on a single episode of the television series. Special guest Scottish comedian Ashley Storrie (Dinosaur) features as a regular guest and brilliant host of the superfan quiz, with contestants found from the wonderful Midsomer Murders Facebook site.
Why am I over-the-top excited about this? Well, for one, I absolutely love Midsomer Murders and, two, I had the great good fortune to be involved along the way as a series regular on a number of episodes along with professional detectives, pathologists and crime-scene experts who will share their insights and opinions into the eternal appeal of the attractive, yet surprisingly lethal drama, which has seen cheese and washing machines used as murders weapons.
