Leigh Court, ‘Sanditon’ filming location, up for sale for a cool £5.5m

It may not be as satisfying as having Sanditon back for a 4th series but Leigh Court, a mansion near Bristol used as a filming location for productions including ITV’s Sanditon, Netflix’s Bridgerton and BBC’s Doctor Who, has hit the market by Alder King property consultants.

Set within 22 acres of parkland and woodlands, Leigh Court is a Grade II listed country house about three-and-a-half miles from Bristol city centre and it can be yours on the oft chance you have £5.5m hanging around.

If having your future residence be the place that doubled for the Sanditon assembly rooms isn’t enough, maybe the fact that both the great Grand Hall (with its breath-taking double staircase) and the spacious entrance hall have welcomed cast and crew from the likes of Bridgerton, Poldark, Doctor Who and others with tempt you to come up with the asking price.

Just in case you need a bit more to convince you, the 26,157 sq ft property has easy access off the M5 motorway and has a a private car park for 200+ vehicles

The original Leigh Court, built in 1558 by Sir George Norton, was demolished in 1812 following its sale to Sir Philip John Miles. The Miles family retained ownership until 1915, when it was sold to Rev. Burden of Clevedon Hall.

Again, it may not take the place of a 4th series of Sanditon but, admittedly, it would be a close second in my book.
