“Chuffed to blooming heck…” is how Dawn French described her feelings regarding the news of her and long-time British comedy partner, Jennifer Saunders, reuniting to host three, 2-hour, programs for BBC Radio 2 this holiday season. The French and Saunders programs can be heard on Boxing Day (26 December), New Year’s Day (1 January) and 3 January with a mix of classic characters from the early days of the greatness of the French and Saunders television series along with a mix of chat, comedy and music.

BBC Radio 2 controller Bob Shennan said: “French and Saunders are one of the greatest comedy double acts of our time and I’m thrilled to be welcoming Dawn and Jennifer to the network.We are already discussing further projects with them and hope to keep the French and Saunders inimitable brand of humour on Radio 2 during 2011.”
