Alan Partridge is back! Finally, Mid-Morning Matters
Great news for British comedy fans worldwide, thanks to that new invention, the Internets. Forget the return of Conan on Monday, 8 November. Old news. The real news is that Alan Partridge is back on the air with Mid Morning Matters with Alan Partridge beginning Friday, 5 November. Ever the technological early adopter, Partridge will be shunning the dated concept of television and will now be heard on the net, courtesy of Australian beer giant, Fosters, as part of their comedy series this Fall, Fosters Funny – Comedy on Tap.
The creation of the genius minds of Steven Coogan, Armando Iannucci and Baby Cow Productions, Partridge, much to the dismay of fans worldwide, gave up his Norwich television and radio chat show to become a life coach, living at Linton Travel Tavern. Episode 1 will be live worldwide on the Fosters site beginning Friday, 5 November as Partridge was always meant to be. According to Baby Cow, which has produced some amazing British comedy over the years with the likes of Gavin & Stacey and The Mighty Boosh, there will be ten, 12-minute episodes from the minds of Coogan and Iannucci. Forget Conan. Alan Partridge is back! For those that can’t wait until tomorrow…
