If you’re not familiar with Being Human, it’s not quite the boy meets girl story that seems to populate much of British television these days. Ok, maybe it’s a 21st century adaptation. More of a vampire meets werewolf meets ghost, get a flat in Bristol and try to live amongst the masses. The long-awaited Being Human Series 3 (BH3) kicks off this weekend in the U.S. as Mitchell, George and Nina move to Cardiff. Annie would be along for the ride too, but seems as though there’s this little issue with being stuck in purgatory and trying to escape.

Series 3 will not only ramp up the intense factor but PBS fans of British comedy and drama will recognize a few of the numerous guest stars lined up for the new season. Robson Green (Touching Evil) will guest star as an aging werewolf while James Fleet (Vicar of Dibley) will portray George’s father. Spoiler Alert – Herrick’s back too.

This is just great television. Do not confuse this with the dreaded American remake that’s floating around these days. Set the DVR now for Saturday, for the true BH3 original.
