Frankenstein coming to U.S. venues

With numerous UK venues already signed on for encore screenings of the Danny Boyle/Nick Dear bit of brilliance, the following U.S. independent  venues have just been announced  screening dates for Frankenstein this summer. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock, Parade’s End, The Hobbit, Tinker Tailor, War Horse) and Jonny Lee Miller (Trainspotting, CBS’ Elementary), the National Theatre production of is, without question, one of those absolutely not to be missed performances.

When Frankenstein originally premiered at the National Theatre back in 2011, Cumberatch and Miller alternated nightly the roles of Victor Frankenstein and the Creature. Deservedly, they shared the Best Actor award this past year at the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards, the first time in the 57-year history of the awards that it was shared.

For a list of venues worldwide that will be showing encore screenings, click here. Note, for those in the North Texas area, screenings will be held at The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth on Thursday, 14 June (2:00p & 7:00p). We will post more information about the Fort Worth screening and others around the world as they are updated on the National Theatre website.

Do not miss this wherever you are around the world. Most likely, this will be it for screening opportunities and, at this point, there will not be a DVD released.
