Christmas brings evil Snowmen and news that Doctor Who 7 to return April 2013
Dateline: Christmas Eve 1892. The Doctor, with his new look TARDIS, and new companion Clara return to face the sinister Doctor Simeon (Richard E. Grant) and an army of snowmen. Can’t get any greater, right? Wrong. The special also features Liz White (Life on Mars, The Woman in Black) and Tom Ward (Silent Witness). AND, the voice of the evil Snowmen is none other than the great Sir Ian McKellen. Now, that’s cool.
Airing at 5:15p on BBC One, Christmas Day, and then a few hours later in the US on BBC America at 9pET/8pCT, the BBC has released a new trailer which gives everyone one more reason to wish today was Christmas Day.
As the Doctor Who Nation counts the days/hours to the Doctor Who Christmas Special “The Snowmen”, word now comes from Doctor Who Magazine that the concluding eight episodes of series 7 will premiere in April 2013. Of particular note to look forward to is that one of the most anticipated episodes will be the one penned by the great Neil Gaiman.
In other Doctor Who series news, April 2013 is the month that the 50th anniversary special will start filming. Put it on the calendar…23 November 2013. It will be here sooner than you think.
