The music of ‘Case Histories’ 2.2

Another Sunday, another brilliant Case Histories broadcast on BBC One with an equally as brilliant soundtrack. I’m feeling a bit like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day. Last nights episode, “Nobody’s Darling”, saw Jackson Brodie (Jason Isaacs) encountering a grieving mother who is convinced that her daughter’s riding accident was murder. As with episode one, this weeks episode again set the Internets ablaze with UK viewers grabbing any iTunes gift card in sight with a remaining balance and trying to find out the playlist for episode 2.

Our thanks to Michael Winter, Production Executive with Ruby Films, the producers of Case Histories, for again supplying Tellyspotting with the commercial tracks for last nights episode as he tweeted them to the world.

Check back next Monday for a music rundown of the final episode of series 2 of Case Histories. No word yet as to a possible U.S. broadcast on PBS. For now, we’ll just have to live vicariously through UK BBC One viewers. Anyone want to share thoughts if you’ve seen the first two episodes?

There’s at least one song missing in the playlist and I can’t find it. It surely must be titled “fool for your love”, because that sentence is sung three times in the clip where the Mackie’s are at home in the evenig. The lyrics are something along these lines:
Cause I’m a fool for you
Till I speak the truth (not sure about the “till I” part, but the rest is definitely there)
Whichever I (you?) say or do
    It’ll be just as true

    Cause we belong together
    It (we?) could be trouble
Cause I’m a fool for your love
    You’re all I’m thinking of
I’m a fool for your love

    Any ideas/input? Google doesn’t help much….
