Shaun the Sheep to hit big screen in 2015

Shaun the Sheep has come a long way from their first appearance in the 1995 Aardman Animation short film Wallace and Gromit: A Close Shave. A mere 20 years later, Shaun the Sheep will make the leap to the big screen in Shaun the Sheep the Movie in early 2015. While the brilliant work of Aardman has long been associated with their Academy Award winning small screen shorts featuring Wallace & Gromit, they are no strangers to the big screen with past efforts including Chicken Run and The Pirates! Band of Misfits. After hitting ‘the big city’, Shaun and flock must pool their collective mind palaces, don disguises and blend in to avoid the clutches of a villainous animal-catcher. Unfortunately, the giveaway here is that no one is barefoot…

In the forthcoming Shaun the Sheep the Movie, which hits theaters in February 2015, Shaun decides to take the day off and have some fun. He gets a little more action than he has bargained for, unfortunately. Shaun’s mischief accidentally causes the Farmer to be taken away from the farm, so it’s up to Shaun and the flock to travel to the Big City to rescue him. The only thing between Shaun and returning the Farmer safely to the green grass of home is a very steep hill leading them all to the Big City. Will Shaun find the Farmer in the strange and unfamiliar world of the City before he’s lost forever? Sadly, we’re going to have to wait until 2015 to find out! In the most recently released trailer, we see Shaun and flock and their first time in ‘the big city’.
