‘Tea Party at the End of the Universe’ with Douglas Adams and Michio Kaku

Yesterday marked the 15th anniversary of National Towel Day, the first of which took place just two weeks after noted English writer, Douglas Adams, passed away from a heart attack on May 11, 2001. It was Adams’ classic Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy that alerted Planet Earth to that fact that a towel is one of the most useful items to carry with you around the universe.

Now that this years celebration is safely in our collective rear view mirrors, we just couldn’t let go of the greatness of Douglas Adams that fast. What better way to continue the celebration than to offer up this cosmic conversation, filmed August 29, 1990, between Superstring Physicist Dr. Michio Kaku and Sci-fi-comedy author Douglas Adams. It is priceless. Enjoy!
