Jeremy Dyson, Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemperton and Reece Shearsmith, better known as The League of Gentlemen, have announced that they will reunite for a BBC Radio 4 show where they will spend the night in a haunted house according to the British Comedy Guide. Ok, it may not be exactly in Royston Vasey, but it’s about as close as the neighboring town. Actually, after spending time in Royston Vasey, this will be a piece of cake.
Since League, the four particulars that make up the group have stayed busy with Pemberton and Shearsmith teaming up in the hit, darker than League of Gentlemen British comedy series, Psychoville, and Dyson working with Andy Nyman on Ghost Stories in London’s West End. Mark Gatiss, besides having guest roles in both Psychoville and Doctor Who, is co-creator/writer/producer with Steven Moffat on Sherlock, the modern day adaptation slated for PBS broadcast in October 2010.
If you haven’t seen The League of Gentlemen, this is a must power viewing session for the Fourth of July long weekend. If you have, you know how great this will be.
