Rowan Atkinson, alias, Johnny English, leaves hospital 'shaken, not stirred'
Thankfully, and luckily, comedy great, Rowan Atkinson walked away from a crash Thursday evening where his beloved McLaren F1 met a tree and lamp post in a confrontation on a rain-slicked road in Cambridge. Unfortunately, the McLaren wasn’t so lucky. It was only days ago that the former star of the brilliant Blackadder and Mr. Bean comedy series conquered the Top Gear track posting the fastest time in the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car segment.
In a bit of, now, what is odd timing, Atkinson also discussed at great length with TG host, Jeremy Clarkson, his fondness for his prized McLaren that he had had since ’97 and how worried he was when he lent it to the show earlier.
According to reports, Atkinson will leave the hospital on today (if he hasn’t left already) and suffer only from “a sore shoulder, expensive coach work and wounded pride.”
