‘Downton Abbey’ cast gathers for final series read-through
Members of ‘Downton Abbey-Nation’ have been in mourning since the news that the forthcoming series would be the British period dramas final season. The cast, however, based on recent pics of their return to work seem to be enjoying each others company for one final go-round.
Leading up to filming, the cast reconvened in March to begin read-throughs of the final scripts. Whether it was planned or not, the thought that these behind-the-scenes photographs were taken in black and white on purpose to accurately express the sadness surrounding the series ending news, it’s good to see the universal smiles and laughter amongst the cast as they begin to re-familiarize themselves with their small-screen counterparts. Unfortunately, in true Sir Julian Fellowes fashion, there isn’t even a hint as to what’s in store for fans of the series as we, collectively, prepare for our final visit to Downton Abbey.
While these pics won’t bring back Downton Abbey for a 7th series, hopefully it will soften the universal separation anxiety that exists throughout DA-Nation if even for just a minute….
