Should you find yourself in, around or near Glasgow, Aylesbury, Basingstoke, Birmingham, Blackpool, Brighton, Bromley, Cambridge, Edinbugh, Leicester, Liverpool, Llandudno, Manchester, Newcastle, Northampton, Plymouth, Southend, Southampton, Woking, or York in the not-too-distant future, please try to score a ticket and pencil in a trip to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Radio Show – Live!. The UK tour will kick off 8-9 June at Glasgow’s Theatre Royal. Glasgow may be a bit far if you’re in Brighton so check out the complete list of tour dates throughout the UK.

Based on Douglas Adam’s brilliant series, the show will feature many familiar characters, including Vogons, Babel Fish, and Marvin the Paranoid Android. The ensemble cast will feature many of the originals from the series including Simon Jones (Arthur Dent), Geoff McGivern (Ford Prefect), Susan Sheridan (Trillian), and Mark Wing-Davey (Zaphod Beeblebrox). In addition, Stephen Moore will provide the voice of Marvin.

If you are still not convinced that this will be a once-in-a-lifetime event, also lending their talents and paying tribute to the greatness of Douglas Adams will be Billy Boyd, John Challis, Jon Culshaw, Hugh Dennis, Neil Gaiman, Terry Jones, Phill Jupitus, John Lloyd, Rory McGrath, and Andrew Sachs. Massively successful radio drama director and producer, Dirk Maggs will direct the live tour. Here, he discusses the genius that was Douglas Adams.

If you can’t make it, Don’t Panic. Pour you a Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster and give a listen to the complete BBC radio series as it was originally created in 1978. Definitely, a great 14-CD addition to your library.
