Gordon Brown begins Red Dwarf project

A headline only the genius creators of the official Red Dwarf website could think of and/or get away with.

Ever wonder what one does with their time after they are no longer Prime Minister of the UK? Well, keep wondering as this is “Not-That-Gordon-Brown”. gordon-brown-begins-red-dwarf-projectThis Gordon Brown is actually a sculptor in the UK who is creating a Mount Rushmore-style sculpture replacing the four U.S. presidents with profiles of Lister, Rimmer, Kryten and Cat.

As reported in the Nottingham Post, Brown sees an immediate connection between the two. The “not-that-Gordon-Brown” said, “I had been thinking about having a Mount Rushmore sculpture made for a long time because the Red Dwarf actors are, in a way, like four presidents. They have their own style of leading and they are quite hardcore in what they put into their characters. Red Dwarf is kind of set in stone in the minds of people all over the world.

Next up for Brown? Figurines of the cast of Last of the Summer Wine.
