One would expect portraying an eccentric forensic criminologist is hard enough but try portraying an eccentric forensic criminologist with OCD who accidentally becomes an advisor to the police. For Ben Miller, it turns out the Worst Week of My Life, Primeval, Death in Paradise star was able to draw on his own experiences with the mental health condition to portray the brilliant yet socially awkward Professor Jasper Teerlinck in Professor T, which premiered last Sunday on PBS.

Remembering Michael Gwynn, a.k.a. Lord Melbury in ‘Fawlty Towers’

With a TOH to John Cleese, we remember Michael Gwynn who momentarily fulfilled Basil’s wishes of improving the class of guest that stayed at Fawlty Towers. Gwynn was one of a long line of talented actors who paid a visit to Fawlty Towers over the course of the 12 episodes (yes, there were only 12). Gwynn passed away on 29 January 1976 at the age of 59.

Masterpiece heads down ‘Ridley Road’ for PBS mini-series

Based on the critically acclaimed 2014 novel by Jo Bloom and starring Rory Kinnear (No Time to Die, Count Arthur Strong, Penny Dreadful, The Imitation Game), Eddie Marsan (Ray Donovan, Little Dorrit), Tom Varey (Game of Thrones) and Aggi O’Casey in her first television role, Ridley Road is headed to PBS as part of Masterpiece. The 4-part mini-series also stars Tracy-Ann Oberman (Friday Night Dinner), Samantha Spiro (Sex Education), and Tamzin Outhwaite (EastEnders, Red Cap, The Fixer, New Tricks).

An official ‘Sanditon’ location guide as we wait (im)patiently for news of a 2nd series
