Just in case you ‘miss’ Moriarty, the ‘Sherlock’ star welcomes Comic-Con International 2015 attendees

Ok, so by now you’ve probably noticed that today marks the third day in a row with a post coming from and/or referencing Comic-Con International 2015. Can you blame me? We’re talking some pretty major news on the Sherlock and Doctor Who fronts the last couple of days. Cue Moriarty….

Moriarty Miss Me

I know, you saying ‘but I thought he was dead?’ Well, remember you also thought that Sherlock jumped off the roof of St. Barts at the end of series 2 following Moriarty’s apparent ‘death’ only to reappear at the end of series 3 broadcasting a message across all media.

While this video welcome to conference attendees may pale in comparison to the series stars’ actual attendance this week and as opposed to getting to see the first teaser trailers for two series from the brilliant mind palaces of Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, this is still pure greatness from, arguably, one of the greatest villain performances of all time, Andrew Scott as Sherlock’s arch nemesis, Moriarty. Scott, along with fellow Sherlock co-star, Benedict Cumberbatch, and co-creator/writer, Mark Gatiss, were unable to attend the San Diego Con this year. Seems a couple of little things like Hamlet and the new 007 movie (tentatively titled Bond 24) are getting in the way this year. Go figure. In any case, this ‘welcome’ is almost as good as them being in San Diego….almost.
