• Book your trip ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ beginning January 2

Whether it’s Doctor Who, Broadchurch, Des, Good Omens, Staged or narrating both Twenty Twelve and W1A, I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that David Tennant can do just about anything. While David Tennant could probably do it with ease but, as Phileas Fogg, a bet with his friends at the Reform Club that he can circumnavigate the world in just 80 days […]

  • R.I.P. ‘Mulberry’s’ Tony Selby

Sadly, these R.I.P. posts are coming way too frequent and way too fast for my liking these days. This one is another name you may not be familiar with but will definitely know his work. Tony Selby, perhaps best remembered for his starring role as Corporal Percy Marsh in Esmonde & Larbey’s national service comedy Get […]

  • First look at ‘Vigil’ with Suranne Jones and Martin Compston

Set in Scotland, Vigil revolves around the events after the mysterious disappearance of a fishing trawler and a death on-board a Trident nuclear submarine. The two incidents see a conflict between local police and British security officers, with the Navy also involved. With the lead role of DCI Amy Silva played by Suranne Jones (Scott and Bailey, Doctor Foster, Gentleman Jack), this should be enough to secure space on my forthcoming telly radar.

  • Jenna Coleman signs on for ‘The War Rooms’

Much like I have come to believe David Tennant is the hardest working British actor on the male side, I’m now convinced that Jenna Coleman holds that distinction on the female side. Coleman became a household name back in 2012 as Matt Smith’s traveling companion, Clara Oswald, in Doctor Who following an early soap stint on Emmerdale and the […]

  • Happy 70th, Peter Davison!

Earlier this week on 13 April, Peter Davison, a.k.a. the 5th Doctor, a.k.a. Tristan Farnon, a.k.a. Albert Campion, a.k.a. David Braithwaite turned the tender young age of 70. It was Davison that initially drew me in to Doctor Who and the original All Creatures Great and Small. It continues to be a treat to see him pop up […]
