Blenheim Vale resurfaces as ‘Endeavour’ comes to an end

As Endeavour entered its ninth and final season, and old ‘friend’ resurfaced by the name of Blenheim Vale, the old unsolved case surrounding the residential home for wayward boys that closed in 1955. The events around Blenheim Vale were first featured in Endeavour S2, Ep 4, “Neverland”. Blenheim Vale 101 In Neverland, first broadcast in Summer 2014 on PBS, the Blenheim […]

Tempting fate, the ‘KERA British Telly Tour’ heads to Oxfordshire for a date with Inspector Morse, Lewis and Endeavour!

The KERA Great British Telly Tour headed to Oxford on Thursday for an Inspector Morse, Lewis and  Endeavour walking tour of the hallowed halls of the 39 colleges that make up Oxford University (16 of the colleges were actually featured in the Inspector Morse series alone!). Named the ‘fictional murder capital of England’ for obvious reasons, Oxford proved to be a treasure trove of information, partly in just learning how the University system works.

Tempting fate, once again, Tellyspotting survives the Charlie-Gibbs Fracture Zone to begin KERA’s Great British Telly Tour!

As your head hit the pillow Saturday evening, Tellyspotting had begun the nine hour trek to London to begin the 2022 Great British Telly Tour courtesy of KERA and Transcendent Travel. Once you meet the cast of characters, both Upstairs Downstairs and Downton Abbey come to mind….if they happened to be set in 1920 Italy.

A pre-Oompa-Loompas Willie Wonka heads to the big screen with an amazing cast in tow!

Full disclosure. Re-makes tend to scare me, whether it’s big or small screen. Pre-Endeavour, prequels used to scare me too. Neither really ever came close to meeting expectations based on the original until Shaun Evans brought a young Detective Constable Endeavour Morse to life during his early career with the Oxford City Police CID.

While I’m reserving judgement on an announced 2023 release of Wonka, given it will be really hard to touch Gene Wilder’s definitive 1971 portrayal of the iconic children’s literary character, recent announcements as to casting may just have me looking forward to this one.
