Legendary Herman’s Hermits frontman, Peter Noone, talks music, the 60s and about ‘having fun’.

Over 60 million recordings sold, 14 gold singles and seven gold albums later, the legendary (and, absolutely delightful) Peter Noone lands in North Texas Saturday night at the Arlington Music Hall. In advance of his performance, Tellyspotting had the great good fortune to sit down for a very enjoyable chat with the English singer-songwriter, guitarist, pianist and actor to talk music, the 60s and life in general.

‘Press’ pits the sensational (tabloid) vs. the serious (broadsheet) in upcoming PBS Masterpiece

Press, the 6-part drama which takes place in the contemporary world of the British newspaper industry, focusing on the two publications – broadsheet newspaper The Herald and tabloid newspaper The Post, is headed to Masterpiece this Fall on PBS.

Could it possibly be true that we haven’t see the last of ‘Foyle’s War’?

Rumor has it the war may not be over for Detective Chief Superintendent Christopher Foyle and his driver, Samantha. Foyle’s War, that is. The World War II detective drama, starring Michael Kitchen and Honeysuckle Weeks, ran from 2002 to 2007 and centered around DCI Foyle seeking justice for cases from war profiteering to murders. Some fairly significant fan pressure revived in 2010 but after eight series, ‘the war’ finally ended in 2015…or did it?

Douglas Adams’ “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” headed for American re-make

Douglas Adams’ comedy sci-fi classic The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is headed for an American television remake. The brilliant British staple originated as a comedy radio series in 1978, became a hugely successful series of novels and, subsequently, a classic 6-part television series for BBC2 in 1981. According to Deadline, it will be developed for an American audience by Carlton Cuse (Lost, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, Bates Motel, Locke & Key) and feature writer Jason Fuchs.
