Bad news — Joan Thursday is out for S7 of ‘Endeavour’. Good news — she’ll be back!

When the 7th series of Endeavour  premieres at 8p this coming Sunday on ITV, it will be without an integral member of the cast. Shaun Evans (Endeavour Morse) has revealed to RadioTimes.com that Joan Thursday, the daughter of Endeavour’s boss, Fred Thursday and played by Sara Vickers, would not be a part of the forthcoming series. But…she’ll be back!

Remembering Geoffrey Hughes, a.k.a Onslow, on what would have been his 76th birthday!

The man who most knew as Onslow, the slovenly bane of Hyacinth’s existence (except for one special moment on the QE2) in Keeping Up Appearances, would have been 76 on Sunday. Geoffrey Hughes, one of the true British comedy greats, was also known to many over the years for his supporting role as Twiggy in The Royle Family, conman Vernon Scripps in Heartbeat and binman, Eddie Yeats, in Coronation Street during the 1970’s and 80’s. Probably very few knew that Hughes was also the voice of Paul McCartney in the Beatles 1968 film, Yellow Submarine.

R.I.P. Nicky Henson; From ‘Fawlty Towers’ to ‘Downton Abbey’ and everything in-between.

Unfortunately, these posts are getting way too frequent and are hitting too close to home as they involve friends that we’ve made over the years. This time, with great sadness, we report that our friend Nicky Henson, passed away Monday at the age of 74. One of the absolute nicest individuals on the planet, Nicky used to tell us that even after all the theater, stage and film work he has been a part of in over 50 years of professional acting, he expected to see on his tombstone “Here lies Nicky Henson – he was in one episode of Fawlty Towers”.
